THE 100TH POST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

HAPPY 100TH POST!!
IT'S THE 100TH POST OF THIS BLOG! THAT MEANS THAT I'VE UPDATED THIS PAGE 100 TIMES AT LEAST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
To celebrate, I've got lots of blog-candy for you: in other words, a lot of stuff the daily reader of this blog will enjoy[: Sorry I haven't gotten to this yet, but I've been very busy in Maine. Besides, I wanted this to be the best post yet! So each topic is a different color, hopefully to help with organization! So ENJOY THE 100TH POST!

IT'S A NEW LABEL! It's called "Awards of the Week" Every week I'll be handing out awards to lines of a song that will be the Lyrics of the Week. You can nominate lyrics by commenting. Also, a Picture of the Week will also be awarded. This will either be from my own gallery or from some one else's, or maybe even yours! Just comment during each Award Ceremony to nominate a photo! And, last but not least, is a Word of the Week. This might be just a random word, or a new word found while reading. I will have reasons for choosing each and every one of these awards which will be described in the post. Also, commenting and nominating is encouraged! So please do so!
This week, the first annual "Weekly Awards" ceremony, I have an award for each category, as I always should.

This week's lyric of the week is from "Secrets" by OneRepublic.
"I'm gonna give all my secrets away"
I like this song. It's in the movie "The Sorcerer's Apprentice" which I'm currently OBSESSED with! And I think it represents me because I often give secrets away, although sometimes--most times--they might not be mine...

This week's picture of the week is:
I miss the beach. I want to live on the beach someday when I'm older. I miss the beach soo much. This photo is gorgeous. It reminds me of how much I want to be near the beach. This was taken by my friend Grace who is an amazing photographer!
This week's word of the week is:
JUXTAPOSITION- definition: (v.) the act of positioning close together (or side by side)
I was reading an interview of Jerry Spinelli talking about his book "Eggs" which is my book review today too! Anyways, i had no idea whatsoever what it meant, so i looked it up, and found the definition.

These awards will be posted weekly probably during the weekdays. The weeks will be Sunday-Saturday. So I will probably be posting awards from Monday-Thursday. I shouldn't post one on Saturday for one week then Sunday for the next week. So, enjoy! DONT FORGET TO NOMINATE SOME SUGGESTIONS[:

Maine: short and sweet visit! We're back already[:

We visited, nothing tooo special. Also, no beachD'= So no pictures of the beach. But our family might be going to Misquamicut in Rhode Island later this summer!! That should be just as exciting!! We shopped not only at Freeport but on the way home westopped at the Kittery Outlets, and both had great sales at some great stores(:

This was taken in the pool there..I'm the one struggling to smile under my sister's weight...thanks Kira..

Kira at L.L. Bean. It was the entrance to the Kid's shopping center, and this is her...posing...

This photo was just edited, before it looked worse. I just thought it was s good example of how useful the "Teeth Whitening" could be because it helped ALL of the smiles in this photo! Even mine...I'm the one all the way to the left with the green lei.

This was cool. I wish I'd had taken this before the colorsplash contest at the Picnik Help Forum because it looks really cool! I was jsut playing around with some effects and this was the amazing outcome[: I like how they're all different colors and stuff... It's cooll:i lovee itt

Kira i guess really liked this outfit, so she spent a good 5-10 minutes scoping out the outfit--it only should've taken like two minutes--and she needed a picture with it. No, she didn't want to buy it, just wanted a picture with it. Incredible.

Anyways, overall, Maine was a fun experience[: Next year, it'll probably happen again, and perhaps the Morrisons will come up and visit the cottage!! Hopefully next year I'll go to the Wells Beach like I did last year!!!!

Picnik has this feature called "Tint" which can not only be used to give photos a tint of color, but you can change a person's hair color, eye color, and give them full makeovers by giving them lipgloss or applying blush! Picnik has just become soo much more helpful, not that it wasn't absolutely my favorite photo editing site anyways!

I learned how to make a "Rainbow Eye" This is my friend's eye, and she has beautiful eyes, so I thought she'd be the perfect "guinea pig." Hahahahaa[: the first one didn't come out as well, but this one looks really cool. i've also learned how to make anyone's eyes different colors, even like a vampire red or a sea green!!! Just go to tint, and you'd have to make a stripe with each color, or you can make a target-type thing with the color going inwards. Just tint each color individually nd it should turn out awesome!

How to video:

Now, time for a movie review!! **CAUTION. CONTAINS SPOILERS!** I've recently watched the movie "When In Rome." It stars Kristen Bell as Beth, a young single woman whose sister is engaged after knowing a man for two weeks. Beth has to attend her sister's wedding in Rome as a Bride's Maid. She meets the Nick (Josh Duhamel), the best man for the wedding, and he seems like the perfect man. After seeing Nick kiss another woman during the reception, Beth walks over to the Fountain of Love and not only dips her feet into the fountain, but proceeds to taking four coins and a poker chip that were thrown in by men wanting love. Little did Beth know about the curse: if you take a coin from the Fountain of Love, the person who threw the coin in the fountain will fall in love with you. So Beth has five men under a spell and, literally, stalking her insisting they truly love her. Beth only has two options to reverse the curse: either return the coins to the Fountain of Love, or return them to whomever they were thrown in the fountain by. And that's all I'll reveal!

This movie was definitely a chick flick, but it was cute, charming, and something I'd recommend the heartbroken to see to give them faith that love can still be found! Probably an 7.75/10. Only removing points because it was a little cheesy, but the overall theme was a little cheesy tooooo...but it was definitely cuutee[: also, PG13? I think there should be a PG10 because there's hardly any sexual content, hardly any swears that I remember, and the only reason not have it be PG is because the topic of love, and some of the content is a little more inappropriate but not that bad. So I'd rate the movie PG10.

Also, I'm counting down the days until the movie "Eat Pray Love" It looks like something I personally would love. In case you didn't know, I want to travel the world some day. I want to marvel at foreign things, explore new cultures and what not. And Eat Pray Love looks charming, romantic, and very funny. I will definitely be doing a movie review for that!

NEW POLL! It's a short simple poll just to see the ratio of females to males visiting my blog[: So are you a guy? A girl? Or were you born both or neither!? Or perhasp you're a moose, who captured some hiker's computer and are visiting MY SITE with your limited internet access, in which case i'd be honored[: So, answer!! This poll will be active until next Tuesday

Cottage this weekend!! Hopefully going to be having a sleepover with some of my dance friends!!!!!!!! Who knows?!? Definitely have pictures up! And I will be updating on that subject tooo[:

"Eggs" by Jerry Spinelli is my book review for the 100th post. David, (9 years old) whose mother recently passed away, moves with his grandmother and talks to her as little as possible. He meets 14 year old Primrose whose father disappeared when she was young. Both kids' parents who are still alive aren't always there like one would think they should be. So both kids rely on each other to learn from. Their only adult guidance is a man witha growing disorder who people call "Refrigerator John." Their friendship twists in between their two personalities. I personally find their friendship a result from their fragile egg-like similarities, and they could be very good siblings. Two people who aren't the best at making friends or reaching out to people reach out to each other and become friends unlike most.

I give it a 9/10 only because the overall concept was a little odd and pretty unrealistic in the grand scheme: what grandmother wouldn't notice her child leaving the house almost every day at night and disappearing until past midnight? It's a little unrealisitc but it's definitely original, creative, quirky and it will definitely have you wanting to keep reading! loved it!

"Oh. my. Gods." by Tera Lynn Childs is the book I'm currently reading. I will have a review once I'm done with it. It's about greek mythology and how a girl named Phoebe moves to a small greek island after her mother gets remarried to a guy she's known for a very short amount of time. Sounds like a disaster right? Well, she has to move halfway across the world for her senior year in high school to a private school in which her new stepfather is the headmaster. But that's not her biggest problem. the school is so exclusive that nearly all of the students are descendants of greek gods or goddesses!! not to mention they all have superpowers! that's all i've read about so far, but when i'm done i shall give a full summary and review.

Got a new polish from OPI! It's called "Shootout at the O.K. Coral" It's a pretty coral from OPI's colorcopia collection! Swatch? I haven't gotten around to any yet. But my camera is stupid and doesn't allow very good pictures, so it's hard to capture the amazing colors in a flattering way. The actual polish is a bit more pink than in the photo. It's sort of like the color of this font! I'll take photos later, so look forward to those!!

And for the random interest topic: T-E-A! I love tea. It's soothing, and warm and lovely to have on a cold snowy winter day or a hot sunny summer day! I used to have it with sugar, but i don't anymore. Anyways, my favorite brand of tea is "Celestial Seasonings" they have many flavors of herbal teas which are my favorite. I love trying them all. I also love looking for teas wherever I go, and trying new flavors! I will, as a random interest topic and not a new label, I'll be reviewing teas as well--not as critically as books or movies, just saying whether or not they're good or if they're interesting or original etc.

My first tea review will be of the Celestial Seasonings "Tropic od Strawberry" On a scale of 1-5 i'd give it a 5! It's delishhh! I LOVE strawberries, and this flavor was just perfect for any strawberry lover! But I also enjoy other brands of tea. Originally, I drank only Red Rose tea with tons of sugar and that was the only way I drank tea. But without sugar is just as good! I recommend tea to anyone who drinks coffee;)

Oh! I also just made a flickr account! I'm jsut hoping to make my photography a bit more public. But I don't think I can committ to it. I don't think I'll be visiting it often, or updating it often. So, visit, but it won't be much from this blog. Anyways, wish me luck!

SO THAT WAS THE 100TH POST! HOPE YOU ENJOYED READING IT[: I CAN'T WAIT FOR THE 500TH POST! THAT WILL BE SOMETHING TO CELEBRATE!

Still taking suggestions to improve the blog in any way!!! Perhaps a non-regular webshow? Maybe[: No giveaway, not enough followers. Please recommend to friends!!!!

Happy 100th post to all, and to all a good night!

Soreness and Books

A lot to say...
well started ballet yesterday, and i'm soo soree right now!! i don't dance for one month then hardcore stretching and stuff reallyy has an impact on a person! and on top of all that pain, my ear has been hurting very badly for two days now, and i found out that apparently I have Swimmer's Ear. I only swam like two times since the summer. Weird, huh? Anyways apparently there's some green growing in my ear, too. And there's water like sitting in a pool of stuff? and whenever I do something to disturb the pool im in pain! funnn... So my ear, and my legs, and my back are in total pain right now. great way to spend a day off..

anyways i also finished "Lock and Key" and it was a really good book! Ruby Cooper, abandoned by her mother and sent to live with her sister who she hasn't seen in ten years and her brother-in-law, is determined to get through her senior year at a rich school quietly and unnoticed so that when she turns eighteen she can get the wish she's always wanted: to be independent. Ruby scores a new house with her own room, a pond in the backyard and the dream any teenage girl would want. Even with her determind mindset to not make friends, she soon meets people who she can rely on. It's a classic Sarah Dessen story with romance, friendship, family and reaching out to others. I loved it, and i'd recommend it to anyone. It teaches you about life and has great lessons not to mention an amazing story line.(:

Still havent gotten together with any friends...not today when i'm so sore. maybe next week? sigh..my summer is more boring than school. what a sad fact.

busyyweekk..

This week is actually pretty filled with plans! I have ballet this week and next week for three days, and I'm spending my free days probably resting...Hopefully I can find some more plans for the empty days? Anyways, I'm almost done with "Lock and Key" by Sarah Dessen, which means a book review! The nail polish i ordered: Flit-A-Bit by OPI, is here, and hopefully I'll actually have a swatch ready!!! The Funky Dunkey swatch went a bit amiss, so I will have five swatches coming your way soon(:
The ants are loose again. More spray, hopefully they'll die for good now!
Any plans this weekend were sort of ruined...need to hang out with peoplee, I haven't in FOREVER!!
My life is actually really boring, even with the plans. Who knew summer would be quite so boring? I'd rather be with friends most of the time then bored as heck the rest of the time over going to school. Who wouldn't? Ughh...

Which Book??

Lock and Key by Sarah Dessen
-OR-
Eggs by Jerry Spinelli????

I told you how I gave up on The Anatomy of Wings so now I have to choose a new one.

Lock and Key: About a girl named Ruby who meets a boy named Nate...it's a love story, even though it's more complicated than the bit I've mentioned...

Eggs: David (I think...I don't have the book right in front of me...) and Primrose meet. They become good friends...also more complicated than just a story about friends.

Vote on which one I should read in the new poll!!

Wings, Layers and Vampires

I'm going to be reading the book The Anatomy of Wings by Karen Foxlee as my summer reading book. I haven't started it yet but it looks good, hence I'm reading it[: It's about a girl named Jenny who has recently experienced the loss of her sister, Beth. It's a typical (more or less) story about a girl setting out to achieve a goal, but then again, aren't all stories just someone trying to achieve something? This is coming from me, who doesn't know how to summarize stories, and has never read the book yet. I'll be updating that soon.

Also, bought gum today, only to find out that there is a new flavor of trident layers. The already existing flavors are Wild Strawberry+Tangy Citrus and Green Apple+Golden Pineapple. The newest flavor is called Cool Mint+Melon Fresco. I like it better than the GA+GP but not as much as I like the WS+TC. I recommend it. It's yummy. It definitely has an overpowering minty flavor was the melon fresco gives it layers of flavorrr=D

And I just saw the Twilight Saga: Eclipse. AH-MAZING! Then again, I'm pretty obsessed with the series anyways. It was action-packed, and I'd recommend it to anyone. I mean, not like it's already anticipated enough, right? But then again, right beforehand I saw a preview for The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader. That looks really good, too. I plan to read the Narnia series (I only read The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe as well as Prince Caspian) and sit in a theater the day after Christmas just as excited to see it as I was to see Eclipse today and as I will be excited to see Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows part 1 in NOVEMBER! Movies are fantastic portal to imagination. I will be posting about the books/movies often. Until then, Happy Reading! I've sure got a lot to read...
